Glass Art
Erin Bobo
Erin is a glass artist whose work is deeply influenced by the natural landscape of Maine and her background in horticulture. She grew up outside Acadia National Park, spending time outdoors and developing a strong connection by working with her hands—an influence that continues to shape her approach to glass today.
Erin has refined her practice through mentorship with glass artists in varying areas of expertise across Maine. She has focused on developing a personal visual language that explores the chemical nature of color and the elegance of organic forms. A wide array of formative experiences with glass artists and the larger arts comminuty have supported Erin's growth both technically and conceptually as she works to continue to find unique opportunities to learn and teach.
Drawing from her experiences studying horticulture and craft arts in Philadelphia, Erin’s work reflects an ongoing exploration of chemistry, material relationships, and the intersections between nature and industrial society. She is particularly interested in integrating glass with materials such as wood and metal, and is eager to continue expanding her skillset while engaging more deeply with Maine’s vibrant arts community.
