Allison Armstrong

Allison has always had a flair for art and beauty. This is partly what drew her to her recent work for the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland. There she has been a guide and some of her jewelry has been sold through the Farnsworth gift shop.

Her journey into jewelry making began decades ago during a visit to her former neighborhood in New York City. After admiring a delicate beaded necklace in a shop and then seeing its unexpectedly high price tag, Allison was inspired to create her own. What began as a moment of surprise became the start of a lasting creative practice.

For Allison, making jewelry is both a meditative and restorative process. For many years she gifted her pieces to friends and family, but today she is fully engaged in creating refined, delicate works of art whenever time allows.
